Role : Reception Teacher
Start Date : September
Permanent, Full time
A reputable school is looking for a Reception Teacher starting in September, for a full time and permanent role.
Qualifications :
- Education : A bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field is essential. A postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education is highly desirable.
- Certification : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is mandatory.
- Safeguarding Training :
Up-to-date safeguarding training and knowledge of child protection procedures are necessary.
Experience :
- Early Years Experience : Significant experience teaching in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), particularly in Reception, is preferred.
- Differentiation : Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Skills :
- Early Literacy and Numeracy : Proficiency in teaching early literacy and numeracy skills, including phonics, counting, and basic mathematical concepts.
- Play-Based Learning : Familiarity with play-based learning approaches and creating rich, stimulating learning environments.
- Assessment : Competence in assessing young children's progress using observation, formative assessment, and developmental milestones.
