Miller Maxwell is partnering with a top-tier proprietary trading firm to find a talented Frontend Software Engineer. Working directly on the trade floor the Frontend Software Engineer will work closely with Trader and Quant teams to build reliable and user friendly UI's for their internally engineered proprietary trading systems.
Key Responsibilities for Front End Developer:
- Develop and maintain user interfaces for trading systems using React and Typescript.
- Collaborate with Front-office users and backend developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements for Front end Developer:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in front-end development, specifically with trading systems.
- Proficiency in React and related technologies.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
- Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience working within Java environments alongside Java Software Engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Candidates without experience in building UIs for electronic trading companies will not be considered.
