Our client, a leading global trading firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel / In-House Corporate Legal Counsel with extensive knowledge and a hands on approach. . The role involves supporting the company's rapid growth, navigating multi-jurisdictional regulations, and building commercially advantageous relationships with stakeholders. With a focus on securities law, brokerages, and emerging markets,





this position requires a strategic legal professional with deep regulatory expertise.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Legal Counsel / In-house Corporate Legal Counsel

- Strategic Legal Counsel: Provide guidance on financial regulations, licensing, and multi-jurisdictional legal matters.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advise on retail protection regulations, cross-jurisdictional compliance, and regulatory strategy.
- Contract Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to trading activities and new product offerings.
- Risk Management: Support the commercial team with accurate guidance on legal risks and financial regulations.
- Dispute Management: Manage commercial and employment disputes in collaboration with senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills required by the Senior Legal Counsel / In-house Corporate Legal Counsel :

- Qualified Solicitor/Attorney with substantial experience in financial markets, securities, and derivatives.
- Deep understanding of global financial regulations and emerging markets.






- Proven experience in contract negotiation, regulatory analysis, and legal compliance.
- Expertise in RegTech, Data Privacy (e.g., GDPR), and company mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, hands on environment
- Excellent communication skills
