Junior Systems Administrator – Use Python & PowerShell every day

Become a technical expert by gaining various skills in one of the most complex sys admin environments in all of the tech driven finance world.

You’ll be coming in here at an almost entry level, following your STEM degree, and you’ll be given the platform to learn. From troubleshooting Windows and Linux desktops, through to building customised hybrid server environments using complex Python and PowerShell scripts. If you’ve got an appetite for learning, you’ve come to the right place.

Okay, the initial few months will be all about getting to know the basics, you’re not going to be let loose on the full Linux estate without knowing your way around it.





You’ll partner with the wider end user computing team here to get to know the systems and learn as quickly as you can.

Longer term, your responsibilities and workload will become more complex, but automating tasks using PowerShell, Python and Bash will be the norm every step of the way. It’s a very flat structure here, so whilst technically an entry level position, you’ll be encouraged to speak up and give ideas for how anything can be improved.

You don’t need any prior financial experience, but you’ll need to have a solid STEM background with good grades, and a background in supporting both Windows and Linux desktops. Some windows server experience would be great. You’ll also need to be well aware of automation, with some PowerShell or Python experience expected.

You will be joining one of the world’s most advanced quantitative trading arenas, with a strong history of success and a great reputation for treating their employees extremely well.





You’ll be working every single day in the state-of-the-art office with access to everything you need, whether that’s going to the gym, or even seeing the on-site doctor.
