We are seeking an experienced Market Risk Manager to join the London-based Market Risk team focusing on front office exotics risk. The role will involve managing the market risk associated with trading across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange (FX), credit, and commodities. With a strong emphasis on exotics, the successful candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience in market risk management and a deep understanding of risk management principles and strategies.
- Oversee and monitor market risk exposure, with a focus on exotic products across multiple asset classes.
- Identify and mitigate potential risk issues, collaborating closely with traders and key stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Review and evaluate new business initiatives and products, offering insights and recommendations to the Head of Market Risk.
- Establish and maintain risk policies, procedures, limits, and stress testing methodologies tailored to exotic trading.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in market risk management, with specific exposure to exotic products and derivatives across various asset classes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, capable of dissecting and evaluating complex risk scenarios, particularly in exotics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
with a collaborative approach when working with traders and stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, products, and instruments, with a focus on exotic risk management.
- Familiarity with market risk regulatory requirements.
