Job description
The Advanced Research Fellow will be joining the innovation-focused Bidmos’ lab, where psychological safety forms the foundation of creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs.
The Fellow will lead activities in the lab relating to the functional characterisation of novel Neisserial vaccine antigens and immunogenicity assessments in animal models.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team while supporting and mentoring others in the lab, all within a dynamic and innovative research environment
You will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator, contributing to research leadership, encouraging innovative thinking,
and helping to solve complex challenges in the field.
Your work will focus on identifying the cognate targets of patient-derived anti-Neisserial human monoclonal antibodies, using techniques like phage display and mutagenesis.
You will also guide efforts in generating animal immunogenicity data, which will support the development of new therapeutic approaches.
- Prior significant experience in meningococcal and gonococcal biology
- Significant experience and ability to train staff and students on animal models of Neisserial pathogenesis and vaccinology
