Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Have you always wanted to work in a school but haven't got any expereince of working in a classroom? As long as you have some experience of working alongside children, you can qualify for this role.
We welcome candidates from various backgrounds which include but are not limited to : SMSAs, sports coaches, psychology graduates, youth workers, childminders etc.
Role Overview : Working in a primary school located in Hayward's Heath on a full time basis. This is an "good" rated schol that is looking for an individual to gain experience of supporting a child on a 1 : 1 basis.
- Weekly Hours : (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm)
- Key Responsibilities :
- You will be supporting a child with an autism diagnosis in a Reception class.
- Working with the class teacher to create a fulfilling learning environment for them,
- Develop a positive relationship and respond appropriately to the child's needs,
- Assist the whole class in integrating and participating in class activities.
- Simplify tasks to ensure accessibility.
- Support the child during lunchtimes,
Candidate Requirements :
- Skills and Experience :
- Must demonstrate relevant skills with confidence.
- Recent experience working with children.
- Experience in a primary school setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience with children with SEND is a plus but not required.
- Ability to use initiative and proactively handle tasks.

We offer full assistance for a new check, costing £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
Upon a succesful 20 week probation period, exceptional candidates often go onto contract with the school (terms and conditions apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
