An exciting opportunity has become available for a new team member to join the U.S. Embassy London as a Treaty Visa Analyst within the Non-Immigrant Visa Unit (NIV).

This will be a fast paced career opportunity where you will take primary responsibility for reviewing, analyzing and investigating applications for Treaty Trader (E-1) and Treaty Investor (E-2) visas.

Duties will include:

- undertaking detailed analysis of business and financial plans submitted in support of E1/E-2 applications and making recommendations for the adjudicating officer, to include, reviewing incorporation and ownership documents, commercial leases, detailed sales/business contracts and escrow agreements, business plans, complex financial and banking records, Profit and Loss Statements, and U.S. and UK corporate and personal tax returns.
- maintaining and updating business registration data in local files, ensuring case notes are unbiased and fact-based.






- contributing to Embassy reporting objectives with reporting on investment and trade trends by developing and maintaining information and trend databases and records for E visas.
- detecting, analyzing and preventing business and financial fraud within Treaty Trader and Investor Visa programs by coordinating closely with the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU) and other governmental agencies and international partners on E visa fraud issues.
- planning and delivering training programs for consular adjudicators regarding adjudicating Treaty visa applications.
- providing support to the NIV Unit in processing all categories of visas.

Additional information - Post processes a high volume of Treaty Trader and Treaty Investor visa applications and is ranked in the top ten processing posts worldwide.





E-visas are one of the most complicated NIV categories. The visa category has a complex and lengthy list of regulatory requirements. Applications are document-heavy and can often be lengthy and confusing for even the most highly qualified applicants, and as such, the incumbent is expected to be well versed in financial and business documents and able to synthesize information into factual, in-depth written analysis that will inform and guide adjudicators interviews and decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION: College University degree in Economics, Accounting, Business or Finance is required.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressively responsible professional work involving the application of complex subject matter and where the incumbent was required to exercise a substantial degree of responsibility. Experience must include researching and analyzing business documents, such as business plans and agreements, business accounts, tax and investment documents and financial records. Must also include experience drafting factual reports and memoranda.

LANGUAGE: Fluent English; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate (this may be tested).
