ANTRIM AND NEWTOWNABBEY BOROUGH COUNCIL FINANCE AND GOVERNANCE GOVERNANCE HEALTH, SAFETY AND RESILIENCE MANAGER PO6 (SCP42-45) £50,512 - £53,630 + 19% employer pension contribution 1 x Permanent, 37 hours per week Location: Based at Antrim Civic Centre but may be required to work in other locations MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB a) Support the Head of Health Safety & Resilience in department matters and deputise where required b) To assist with the development, promotion, implementation and regular review of the Councils Health, Safety and Resilience Strategies, Policies, Procedures and Plans. c) Engage with Regional Resilience groups and Multi-agency forums representing Council as required. d) Ensure an effective claims management provision. e)
Deliver the Departmental Business Plan across Council in support of the Corporate Plan and in compliance with all legal and statutory requirements. f) To provide specialist advice and guidance to the Head of Health, Safety & Resilience and all Directors, Deputy Directors, Heads of Service, Managers and staff in matters relating to health, safety and welfare. g) To fulfil the statutory role of competent person' as outlined in Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work (NI) Regulations 2000 and also support regulatory compliance / technical support for all associated council operational tasks Please ensure you read the guidance notes provided to help you complete the application form.
