Interim Project Finance Lawyer: 6-9 Months – Remote working
Our client a top city law firm is currently looking for a Project Finance Lawyer to assist the team on project work within the Middle East & Asia. Role Requirements:Experience working on project financing documentation including financing term sheets, core financing documentation (e.g. common terms agreements, facility agreements, shareholder support agreements, intercreditor agreements) and security documents, as well as managing waiver processes and signing and closing processes
Recent experience gained in private practice with a strong city practice Experience with development banks/multilaterals and export credit agencies is preferred but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including drafting) and excellent organisational skills
Confidence to lead effective negotiations with clients and counterparties
Strong ability to communicate with and listen to clients in order to understand their needs and how best to meet them
Experience working with local counsel in other jurisdictions and delivering an integrated product - Middle East and Asia experience particularly relevant
Lateral thinker to develop innovative solutions to issues that arise during transactions
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies that indicate problems with quality of work or a misunderstanding of clients' needs
All work is performed in English, but additional language skills are a welcome addition
This opportunity is to start at the end of October and will likely be for a period of 6-9 months with the role being able to be completed on a remote basis. Given a large majority of the work will be across different time zones,
some flexibility on this would be useful although the practice will look to give tasks that enable the time zones to be more manageable. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be involved on some large projects across multiple jurisdictions.
