Lloyd's are seeking to recruit an Operational Resilience Manager (Markets). The role holder will be required to support the Market Governance,
Risk and Resilience Senior Manager and the Head of Markets Governance by undertaking expert analysis of a range of submissions and documents from the market to assess the level of maturity and the degree to which managing agents are undertaking good practice and are in line with the requirements of Principles Based Oversight
Principal Accountabilities
The role holder will need to review and analyse a range of documents such as: Operational Resilience Self Assessments, Principles Attestations, Cyber Resilience survey responses and other Operational Cyber Resilience related documentation in order to make recommendations to the Senior Manager on whether additional oversight activity is required.
Preparing reporting on Operational Resilience activities such as Annual Self-Assessment reviews or post Market Wide Scenario Exercise and reporting on oversight activity to internal governance meetings.
Providing briefs and support to the Senior Manager for oversight meetings and to lead those meetings on occasion.
Ensure the relationship between Markets and Operations is in line with agreed processes and ensure regular meetings have the correct agenda items
Providing analysis and views on Cyber Resilience responses from managing agents and help shape the Cyber Resilience Survey.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
Operational Resilience requirements and good practice
Cyber Resilience requirements and good practice
The commercial drivers of profit and loss for insurance/reinsurance businesses
The factors that materially affect risk and may ultimately cause the failure of an insurance/reinsurance businesses
Regulatory expectations in regard to governance and risk management the factors that drive strong governance, an effective Board,
developing and executing a successful strategy and pitfalls to avoid.
Knowledge of business process and systems change tools and best practice principles
Relevant operational and cyber resilience experience required.
Significant experience managing activities, priorities and people up to a senior level.
Experience of relationship and stakeholder management experience at a senior management level.
Experience advising on risk management, performance and regulation.
Exposure to presenting to and/or communicating with regulators
Lead constructive conversations with senior stakeholders at Managing Agents, giving difficult messages when required
Demonstrate empathy and gather insights that help to drive the Corporation's understanding of and response to issues and opportunities.
