About the Role

As Director of Sales and Marketing your role is to drive the commercial success of the AO Arena. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the venue's future, ensuring the smooth operation of ticketing, premium sales, hospitality, partnerships, and merchandising. The successful candidate will develop and execute sales strategies, motivate teams,





and implement innovative marketing approaches. By fostering a high-performance culture, you will help to exceed business targets, ensure team growth, and uphold ASM Global’s core values during this exciting and dynamic period

Your Responsibilities:

- Achieve sales revenue targets across all areas of the AO Arena, including ticketing, premium seating, hospitality, merchandising, and partnerships.
- Work closely with the Head of Premium Seating and Hospitality to develop and implement the complete sales process,





from prospecting strategies to client presentations, negotiations, and contract finalisation.
- Take full accountability for the Sales and Marketing budget, ensuring efficient spending to achieve business objectives.
- Research and develop marketing strategies and plans, understanding consumer needs, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve sales and marketing goals.
- Utilise CRM systems and digital/social platforms to maximise opportunities and deliver a strong return on investment.
- Oversee all marketing campaigns and promotional activities for the AO Arena, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Maximise partnership opportunities while managing and fulfilling commitments with existing partners, including AO, Three, Vuse, Heineken, and Coca-Cola, among others.






- Ensure the success of the naming rights partnership with AO, aligning objectives and delivering on mutual goals.
- Work with the Head of Ticketing to optimise ticketing revenue streams in partnership with Ticketmaster, benefiting both the venue and promoters/clients.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of commercial activities, producing detailed reports for ASM Global’s senior management.
- Recruit, train, coach, and manage sales and marketing teams, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous development.

Key Skills and Experience

- Extensive hospitality industry knowledge: A deep understanding of the hospitality sector, with Proven track record of driving successful sales and marketing initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage,





and motivate teams effectively, driving performance and achieving business goals.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record in driving sales and acquiring new business: Expertise in identifying and seizing business opportunities to fuel growth.
- Experience in using innovative marketing strategies to increase sales and improve revenue streams.
- Financial and performance reporting skills: Solid understanding of budgeting processes and performance reporting, with the ability to analyse financials and KPIs.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication, influencing, and empathy skills to inspire teams and work collaboratively.






- Proven track record of exceeding targets: Consistent history of surpassing sales, revenue, and performance goals.
- Analytical and strategic: Ability to analyse team performance, report findings, and recommend improvements to senior leadership.

Please note: this is a fixed-term contract and ideally the successful candidate will be able to start immediately.
