The role
The Operations team are responsible for ensuring that all transactions placed by the in house team are settled on time, all central and client accounts are reconciled appropriately and any errors or omissions are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
Principal Accountabilities
- Monitor compliance through various risk and position reports to ensure that all portfolios comply with defined parameters at all times.
- Investigate, resolve or escalate any genuine parameter breaches.
- Responsible for the handling of financial claims by and against counterparties.
- Ownership for LTIM custody and cash reconciliations and responsibility for daily, monthly and quarterly internal reconciliations and reporting. Ensure accurate records are maintained and agree with custodian records.
- Manage day to day settlement of high value fixed income trades and FX transactions using specialist knowledge.
Manage strict deadlines and minimise risk by investigating and resolving any issues.
- Management of the amendment of static data within the treasury management system and liaising with the personnel concerned to complete amendments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contribute to new treasury projects as required, and take ownership of delegated tasks. Innovating to improve current tasks.
