The Role:
- This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to take a leadership role in delivering innovative electrical design solutions for a well-known and respected M&E; Consultancy specialising in Data Centre projects throughout the UK.
- Lead and manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all project stages.
- The Principal Electrical Design Engineer will oversee and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality design output.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and client expectations while contributing to the strategic direction of the team.
- The Principal Electrical Design Engineer will manage client relationships, attending key meetings, and playing a pivotal role in the business development process.
Skills and Background:
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it), with a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng).
- The Principal Electrical Design Engineer will have significant experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects within the M&E; industry.
- Proven leadership experience, managing both teams and projects effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge, including proficiency in IT-based calculation software, as well as Dialux, Relux, Amtech, and Revit.
- The Principal Electrical Design Engineer has excellent communication and organisational skills, with a track record of delivering projects that exceed client expectations.
