About the Role
The University’s Counselling & Psychotherapy Services (CAPS) team are looking to recruit to a post that has become vacant as a member of our team moves on after several years working with us. The post is 3 days a week (21 hours) all year round. Currently we support 1 day a week working remotely (once embedded).
The post offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled therapist to enjoy working with University students in a busy and thriving service that values the culture of team work. The well-structured provision offers a chance for the therapist to tailor brief therapy interventions for individual students with a diverse range of presenting issues.
This role will require an enhanced DBS check with child’s barred list.
About You
We are looking to employ a qualified and experienced Psychological Therapist (AKA Counsellor/Psychotherapist) with an interest in delivering effective therapy in the University context.
Our ideal candidate will be skilful in offering impactful therapy to effect change with students who are managing a range of moderate and complex psychological issues.
You will enjoy working to brief, focussed, one-to-one therapeutic contracts, both face-to-face and online

The Wellbeing & Student Support Department at the University of Warwick delivers a wide range of support services for students through the Wellbeing, Disability and Counselling & Psychotherapy Services teams.
We are committed to providing professional services that are tailored to students’ individual requirements, aimed at enabling students to successfully complete their studies and enhance their student experience.
We are a well-resourced and respected Counselling and Psychotherapy service with a reputation for high standards and positive outcomes. According to our 2022-23 feedback, 99% of students who used our services would recommend us and 99% were satisfied or very satisfied.
We are a dynamic, hard-working team from a wide range of therapeutic backgrounds,
with 2 Deputy Heads of Service overseeing the operational running of the services providing a containing and positive management culture.
We have maintained BACP Service Accredited status continually since 2009.
