About the Role :
- Provide strong and strategic leadership for the Spanish department, setting the direction for a stimulating and engaging curriculum aligned with national standards.
- Lead the development and delivery of a high-quality Spanish program across all year groups, fostering a love of the Spanish language and its cultural richness.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel empowered to explore the Spanish language and develop their fluency.
- Motivate and support a team of Spanish teachers, providing guidance, promoting professional development, and fostering collaboration within the Languages department.
- Oversee the budget and resources for the Spanish department, ensuring they are effectively utilized to create an inspiring learning environment.
- Play a key role in the school community,
promoting the importance of language learning and fostering collaborations with other departments.
The Ideal Candidate :
- A qualified Spanish teacher with a proven track record of success and extensive experience in a leadership role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, fostering strong relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- A deep understanding of Spanish language pedagogy, current trends, and the ability to translate them into engaging and effective learning experiences.
- A passion for the Spanish language and culture, with a talent for inspiring a love of learning and cultural exploration in students.
- The ability to manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
