Responsibilities
- Delivering high-quality computer science lessons to students, ensuring that the curriculum is effectively taught and students make progress.
- Planning and preparing engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to support student development.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborating with colleagues to provide a cohesive and holistic approach to students' education.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in computer science education and implementing new teaching techniques where appropriate.
- Participating in staff meetings,
parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience teaching computer science at the primary or secondary level.
- Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures in computer science.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in using computer science software and hardware.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in education and computer science.
