Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons to primary / secondary students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Science curriculum materials and initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Science education and incorporate relevant resources and teaching strategies into lessons.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the primary / secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science and the ability to teach a wide range of topics.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students.
- A passion for education and a genuine desire to motivate and inspire young learners.
