Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where necessary
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and initiatives
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, achievements, and behavior
- Participate in regular professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status or equivalent in Science Education
- Proven experience teaching Science in a primary or secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
- Ability to engage and inspire students through creative teaching methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
- Ability to adapt to changing educational trends and technologies
- Valid DBS clearance or willingness to undergo a background check
