Ward Nurse Manager
Salary : £47,000 - £49,000
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Ward Nurse Manager to lead and oversee the nursing staff and operations of our client's rehabilitation ward.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional care to patients and possessing exemplary leadership skills.
They will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and managing the daily operations of the ward.
To be successful in this role, you should possess :
- A nursing qualification (RMN) and a valid UK NMC Pin
- Demonstrated experience in a nursing leadership role,
coupled with a strong understanding of mental health and rehabilitation practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective leadership and motivation of a team.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, centred on patient-centred care.
- Profound understanding of regulatory requirements for healthcare facilities, with a steadfast commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards.
- Capacity to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment.
- A dedication to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in healthcare delivery.

As the Ward Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :
- Providing strong leadership and support to the nursing team ensuring the efficient and effective care of our patients.
- Managing and coordinating staff schedules,
including tasks such as assigning patient caseloads and monitoring workloads to ensure high-quality care.
- Collaborating with various healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient.
- Regularly assessing patient needs and progress, adapting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Overseeing the safe administration of medication and treatment protocols, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Mentoring and supporting nursing staff, providing guidance and necessary training to foster a cohesive and knowledgeable team.
- Guaranteeing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, strictly adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Conducting performance evaluations,
setting goals, and aiding in the professional development of nursing staff.
- Acting as a liaison between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team, advocating for patient needs and preferences.
