Design & Technology Teacher Sought for Reputable Secondary School in Kingston
We are delighted to collaborate with a highly-regarded secondary school in Kingston, actively seeking a passionate and qualified Design & Technology Teacher to join their dedicated team.
This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and equip students with essential skills for the 21st century.
The Role :
The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering creativity, innovation,
and problem-solving skills in students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The role encompasses :
- Designing and delivering engaging Design & Technology lessons that meet the national curriculum standards and inspire a passion for the subject.
- Creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages experimentation, critical thinking, and practical application of design principles.
- Assessing student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback, and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the quality of the Design & Technology curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and design trends to ensure a relevant and future-focused learning experience.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in using a variety of design software and technologies.
