Responsibilities
- Create and deliver dynamic and engaging geography lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of the students.
- Assess students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate cross-curricular activities and projects.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning and understanding of geography concepts.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding the progress and well-being of students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching geography in a primary or secondary education setting.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum standards and guidelines for geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
