Year 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Borehamwood
An Ofsted rated good’ school in Borehamwood are looking for someone to join their friendly and nurturing team as a Year 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover) from September.
This role is maternity cover, starting initially on a one-year contract with opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
In this role you will be responsible for planning, preparing and organising lesson resources, alongside delivering high-quality education and enrichment of holistic development for children.
Beyond the classroom, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and organising lesson resources in accordance with curriculum guidelines.

Salary : £160 - £218 per day
Key skills the ideal Year 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover) will have :
- A passion for creating and delivering enriching lessons through an interactive approach
- A thorough understanding of different pedagogical approaches of learning
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Able to establish positive relationships with students and teachers
- Must have a QTS
- Able to commute to Borehamwood
