Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
- Establish a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
- Take an active role in the school's extra-curricular activities, fostering student interests beyond the classroom
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in the field of Computer Science education and incorporate relevant updates into teaching practices
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven experience teaching Computer Science at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Computer Science
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
- Passion for continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest educational trends and best practices
- Valid DBS clearance and right to work in the UK
