Job summary
Epsom Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Supplies Manager join our Operating Department.
As Theatre Supplies Manager you will be providing day to day support to the operating theatre team with ensuring prompt ordering and delivery of stock, which will in turn deliver excellent patient care by ensuring products are available in the right place, at the right time and in the right quantity.
The successful post holder will provide an efficient stock management support service ensuring value for money and eliminating waste.
Main duties of the job
- Working under the guidance of the Clinical theatre staff the Theatre Stores Manager will assist with the review of stock usage / levels
- Manage substantial value of the hospital stock located within theatres
- Accurately receive deliveries and process all paperwork according to company procedures and policies, while at the same time flagging up short delivered goods
- Learn and use the hospital's Scan for Safety system - for ordering and stock / electronic stores management
- Rotate stock using First in First out (FIFO) method to avoid instances of expired stock.
- Proactively engage with clinical staff to review stock usage, manage redundant / obsolete product lines and notify the Inventory and Stores Manager of any concerns
- To run reports and expedite daily Outstanding Orders, as well as manage delivery and returns of loaned kits / other medical products
