The Role :
Using Agile methodology including Scrum and Extreme Programming you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of designing IT infrastructure systems.
Working with an IT project team and developers you will establish the requirement to deliver against Enterprise software deployment programs, and provide a technical solution to our automotive customer.
Area of Responsibility
- Must have very strong infrastructure design experience within automotive manufacturing
- Must have experience of leading change within very large transformation programmes
- Must have experience of engaging with and managing Snr stakeholders
- Act as the SME for the infrastructure projects. Managing technical inputs and designs for DCs, networks, end points etc
- Act as the key technical liaison between the programme and the engineering function
- Collaborate with programme SMEs to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability, functionality and performance needs in the creation of a overall infrastructure solution.
- Architect best practice design principles that govern the technical journey of the programme
- Understand and transform business requirements into scalable / manageable solution architecture and design specifications
- Develop work breakdown structures and associated task level information and work assignment for incorporation into project plans and work structures
- Use Agile delivery methodologies
- Analyze architecture and technology options and present findings and recommendations to senior IT and business leaders
- Work closely with other Solution Architects / Designers to ensure consistency and quality of solutions
Knowledge / Experience
Essential
- Experience in architecting infrastructure in a large manufacturer.
- Strong understanding of network and data center architecture,
as well as application development methodologies
- Experience of Jira and Confuence.
