As a happy, friendly, welcoming and inclusive Primary school, we are looking to recruit a Head of Early Years.

As a Head of Early Years, you will be developing and leading high-quality practice and provision to support all children to reach their full potential, particularly in the prime areas of learning and development.

In your role as Head of Early Years, you will provide a nurturing environment to promote children’s emotional stability, independence, autonomy and creativity.

Head of Early Years

- Working collaboratively with a range of professionals to improve outcomes for pupils
- Act as a role model in developing and maintaining appropriate positive behaviour strategies with children and staff






- Lead in-service training and advise on individual CPD opportunities for staff
- Develop and maintain a partnership with parents that values their contributions and involves them in their child’s education
- Support early identification and intervention strategies
- Lead, develop and evaluate effective systems for planning, observation and assessment
- Must have UK QTS
- Substantial successful experience of working within an Early Years Foundation Stage setting
- Has a sound knowledge of child development and early childhood education
- Has a sound knowledge of current developments and issues in early education
- Is passionate about providing high quality and enabling environments for children to learn, develop and thrive
- Someone who wants the opportunity to grow and develop






- Full time and Permanent contract employed by the school
- Outer London pay scale MPS / UPS + TLR 2a
- Good understanding of the Early Years Framework required
- Passionate, positive & team player required
- Confident & strong classroom management skills
