Senior Platform Manager Retail Technology Operations

This is a critical leadership role reporting to the Head of Application Operations governing the delivery of IT application and business services to the customer.

This role will have accountability for assuring the operational management and end-to-end service delivery of all applications delivered by our internal teams and third-party suppliers.

Working with Leaders across the wider CTO / CIO domain you will be expected to achieve the highest levels of service excellence for VMO2 customers.

We are looking for a candidate that demonstrates a relentless focus on service and a deep understanding of how technology and service deliver outcomes for our customers.







The role would be well suited for a candidate with a technical background comprising both infrastructure and applications, with proven ability leading teams of 10-20.

Experience and understanding of telecoms retail operations would be highly advantageous.

The must haves

- In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
- Technically highly capable with an extensive background in Operational and Service Management.
- Experienced in delivering IT service using multiple methodologies, i.e., Waterfall, Agile
- Experience in a service delivery environment where the product and service are heavily dependent on IT platforms and rapidly evolving technology.
- Significant experience in leading development and support teams in a dynamic and fast-paced, global environment
- Strategic and objective decision making demonstrating balanced consideration of technical and business issues, and individual and team goals






- Exceptional understanding of the budgeting cycle including the ability to work with the Finance and other Senior leaders on organizational planning and strategy for 3 5-year outlook.

- Strong track record of overseeing complex IT environments with experience in the communications sector
- The ability to continually monitor and improve applications and platforms developing a fully lifecycle ethos.
