SEN English Teacher (Autism & MLD) Secondary School

Looking for an exciting and rewarding career in SEN education? We have multiple opportunities in SEN schools through Teaching Personnel, offering roles that range from day-to-day supply to long-term placements, and even temp-to-perm positions!

Are you passionate about making a real impact in the lives of young learners? We're on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic SEN English Teacher (with QTS) to join our dynamic team.

You’ll be working in a supportive environment with students who have Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD),





helping them thrive academically and personally.

Your Role and Responsibilities :

- Innovative Teaching : Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and MLD.
- Creative Adaptation : Use specialist techniques to adapt teaching materials, enhancing communication and literacy for students of varying abilities.
- Empowering Environment : Foster a nurturing and positive classroom atmosphere, where every student feels supported to succeed.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with the SEN team to develop individual learning plans (IEPs) and implement creative, differentiated strategies.
- Progress Monitoring : Regularly assess and track student progress, providing feedback that truly helps students grow and excel.
- Holistic Development : Focus not only on academics but also on boosting student independence, self-esteem, and social skills.

Are You the Ideal Candidate?

- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with a focus on English.
- Experience in teaching students with Autism, MLD, or other SEN (highly desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
