PARK ROAD KIDSCLUB’ PLAY ASSISTANT - Immediate start
Breakfast Club hours : 07 : 45 - 09 : 00 Monday to Friday
After School Club hours 14 : 45 18 : 00 Monday to Friday
Total weekly hours : 27.5 hours per week
PLUS
Holiday Club : 36.25 hours per week for 8 school holiday weeks (1 week at October half term, 1 week at February Half term, 1 week at Easter, 2 weeks at Whit Holidays and 3 weeks of the Summer holidays) There is entitlement to time-off which will be discussed at interview.
Salary : NJC Band 2 Spinal Points 4 / 5 £23,114 £23,500 (Pro Rata)
Approximately £12.00 per hour)

Due to the success of the school’s Kidsclub - extended services, (Kidsclub : Before, After School and Holiday clubs) we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, honest, reliable and hard-working play assistant to join our Kidsclub team to deliver a safe, high quality learning environment for our children in the before and after school club.
The successful candidate will need to have high expectations for all children and be willing to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life.
You should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills and be able to relate well to children aged 4 11 years old and staff and interact with them in a friendly and positive manner.
You will be able to organise and develop interactive activities for the children. You will be able to provide a calm and safe atmosphere for the children to play.
You must understand the varied needs of children and their families but the most important attribute is that you are willing to have fun and enjoy working with children!
We strongly believe in professional and personal development. We require training to be undertaken in food hygiene, first aid and safeguarding.
The successful applicant will : -
Ideally, hold a relevant qualification to at least NVQ level 2 or equivalent or a willingness to work towards this qualification
Have a sound understanding of the current legislation relating to the Safeguarding of children and the responsibilities that go with this
Be hard working, professional and reliable and keep good time keeping
Be an effective communicator and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders including school leaders and parents and carers
Have a successful history,
of working with children and planning activities for them, both indoors and outdoors.
