Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging music lessons that align with the national curriculum and school policies
- Assess students' musical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
- Organize and lead music-related extracurricular activities and performances
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' confidence and enjoyment of music
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and assessments
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding students' progress and development
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
- Proven experience as a Music teacher in a primary or secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent musical skills and proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments
- Ability to inspire and motivate students through creative teaching methods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with current educational practices
