Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGEM) is one of England's largest commissioning support organisations, offering market- leading support services to an ever growing customer base.
This is an opportunity to join the Integrated Governance team working in Information Governance based in Saltisford Warwick but working from home.
This post will be six month fixed term contract to cover an extended leave period within the internal Information Governance team
An enthusiastic and self-motivated Information Governance Officer is needed to work in our Integrated Governance team under the supervision of the Senior Information Governance Manager.
The focus of this role will be to provide and maintain the Data Security Protection Toolkit (DSPT) Information Governance advice and implementation of the Data Protection Act, GDPR, application of the Caldicott Principles and all aspects of confidentiality and security and the Information Governance Framework in the NHS, internally to AGEM CSU

Main duties of the job
The post requires a subject matter expert in Information Governance to support and provide assistance to the Senior Information Governance Manager to support the delivery of Information Governance Services.
You will assist in the management, co-ordination, monitoring and support of the standards required within the Information Governance Data security Protection Toolkit (DSPT)
for Arden and GEM CSU.
You will be responsible for ensuring that continued progress against the standards has been suitable achieved. Implementing work plans to ensure year on year improvement.

Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role are :
- To provide basic advice and guidance on Information Governance topics.
- To support the production and distribution of all Information Governance communications and ensure suitability for the target audience.
- To support the development of standardised document (policy, strategy, protocol, and procedure) for Arden and GEM ensuring ease of understanding.
- Engagement in routine business, to support the appropriate, proportionate, and timely consideration of Information Governance issues in operational decisions.
- Act as the first point of contact for internal information governance queries.
- To assist in the development of training materials and regular communication documents to support the Arden and GEM training.
- Deliver Information Governance Data Security Protection Toolkit (DSPT) support and provide regular position statements for IG Committee.

Education / Training / Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area, information governance / Data Protection / GDPR
- Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes

- Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services
- Experience in communications and stakeholder management
- Previous experience in similar role in public sector
- Evidence of success in efficient and effective project and programme management

- Good understanding of relevant legislation and how it applies to the information governance agenda
- Previous experience working with the DSPT (Data Security Protection Toolkit)
- Knowledge of information security / cyber security issues
