Data Product Owner
Slalom is seeking a Data Product Owner to join our Data Solutions team. A key interface between business customers and technical teams, this role translates business cases into prioritised roadmaps for the strategic delivery of data products to enable business value.

What will you do?
- Understand and translate business needs into a set of one or more enabling data products based on a data domain model
- Lead data discovery for prospective data products and, together with their alignment of business needs, use the discovery outputs to create, prioritise and maintain data product roadmaps
- Act as product owner for the design and delivery of data products, including creation and maintenance of feature backlogs
- Lead cross-functional teams from data product ideation through to data product release, working according to agile principles
- Manage dependencies between data products as well as between business cases
- Communicate effectively with business and technical leaders
- Own and manage metadata related to data products to ensure that data products are Finable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable
Requirements :
- Relevant experience as a data architect / engineer and demonstrable experience operating in a Product / Project management role (if no Product management experience then must understand the principles of Product management).
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Expert in capturing end user requirements and align technical solutions to the business objectives
- Expertise in data architecture concepts such as data modelling (dimensional and 3NF), workflow management, ETL / ELT, real-time streaming.
- Understanding data management and governance concepts such as data quality, metadata management, etc.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability
- Experience in leading data platform development teams
- Understanding of impacts to process, required governance, and operations
- Ideally demonstrating experience of leading projects in a consulting environment; experience leading large-scale or complex data projects
- Experience in full lifecycle delivery using Agile methodology
