We are recruiting for a Part Time Female Support Worker for our supported living service in Northwich. We support adults with learning disabilities in supported living properties.
- Supporting 3 females in a supported living service in Northwich
- 19.5 hours per week including 1.5 sleeps (on average based on a 2 wk rolling rota)
- Working 1 / 2 days per week with every other weekend off
Week One - Monday 10am - 11pm (sleep - finishing at 8am Tuesday morning)
Week Two - Monday and Saturday 10am - 11pm (sleep - finishing at 8am Tuesday / Sunday morning)
- Working as part of a small team and on a 1 : 1 basis
- Full training provided
- Driver required (Motability car available but use of own vehicle also an advantage)
- £15963 per year (Based on £12.00 per hour plus sleep in allowance)
You will work as part of a team or 1 : 1 with lots of support and training from your colleagues and managers. We offer a rewarding and fulfilling career helping young adults to live happy and meaningful lives.
You may help the people you support to do things such as go shopping, cook their meals, or attend activities such as the cinema or bowling.
Without you they would not be able to live an independent and enriched life and so you get to feel great about the care you provide and go home feeling that you have made a difference to someone’s life.
NO EXPERIENCE is required. If you are a caring, compassionate and dedicated person who wants to help others, you have the skills we are looking for.
Please note - applicants must be authorised to work in the UK and be able to commit to a full time, permanent contract - we are unable to provide sponsorship .
General Details
We offer FULL TIME PERMANENT CONTRACTS
- Fixed rolling shift pattern assigned to you so that you know your regular hours of work on an ongoing basis
- You will only work 3-4 days per week
- You are guaranteed to have every other weekend off in full
- There is lots of opportunity to pick up extra shifts but there is no obligation to do so, and we value a healthy work life balance.
You will not be allocated extra shifts if you do not want them
- You will have access to lots of support from great managers and opportunity to complete an NVQ
- Progression opportunities do become available and are open to all existing employees prior to external recruitment.
- You will generally work in the same house on each shift. There is generally no travelling between services once you start work,
and you will build strong and meaningful relationships with the people you support and your colleagues.
- The majority of the people we support have their own Motability Vehicles so for those of you who drive there is normally no need to use your own car.
