Job description

Role Summary

To work with the support of Tobacco Treatment Team Leader, Treating Tobacco Dependency Advisor, and Specialist Nurse at RDUH to provide behavioural support and treatment in relation to tobacco smoking.

To run the onsite tobacco treatment service to ensure safe, well organised and evidenced based care is offered routinely to all identified smokers and provided to all that access the service.

Provide support in a range of settings as required for the delivery of the smoking cessation service.

To support the delivery of the service key performance and reporting indicators for tobacco dependency.

An exciting opportunity to work independently within a very small team that will make a huge difference to people’s health.

You will be delivering factual clinical information and behavioural support to help people to stop smoking. This is working across the whole hospital site with a variety of colleagues seeing patients with a range of different health conditions.

Helping stopping smoking is the biggest thing people can do to improve their health and seeing the difference you can make is highly rewarding.

Full training to deliver this evidenced based intervention will be provided. The skills you will learn you will find valuable in any role that you do and in your own personal life.

Working Pattern : Monday to Friday 9-5 but flexible working will be considered.
