Associate Director – Life Sciences Commercial Strategy (Pricing & Market Access)

Their Life Sciences practice helps leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare companies solve complex challenges, optimise market performance, and navigate evolving landscapes. They are committed to making a tangible impact on patient outcomes and business performance, leveraging our deep expertise in the life sciences commercial domain.
They are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join their Life Sciences Commercial Strategy team, with a focus on Pricing and Market Access (P&MA;).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering strategic insights and solutions to top pharmaceutical companies, with deep expertise in the intricacies of pricing and market access within the global life sciences industry. This role offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions at the intersection of science, business, and patient access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute high-impact consulting engagements within the Life Sciences sector, focusing on Pricing and Market Access strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on global pricing frameworks, health technology assessments (HTA), payer negotiation strategies, and value-based pricing.
- Develop comprehensive market access strategies to ensure optimised product launch, lifecycle management, and sustained market performance.
- Collaborate closely with clients to address challenges in market entry, pricing pressures, and reimbursement hurdles in diverse geographies.
- Analyse market trends, regulatory shifts,
and competitive landscapes to provide actionable insights that shape strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on life sciences commercial strategy.
- Lead teams of consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery, project management, and professional development of team members.
- Support business development initiatives, including proposal development, client presentations, and thought leadership in the P&MA; space.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, policy changes, and innovations in the life sciences sector, particularly as they relate to pricing and market access.
Qualifications:
- Deep industry experience in Life Sciences, particularly in the Pharmaceutical sector,
with a strong understanding of commercial strategy, pricing, and market access.
- Proven experience working for a leading strategy consulting firm or global advisory firm with a focus on the Life Sciences industry.
- Expertise in Pricing and Market Access (P&MA;), including familiarity with global pricing frameworks, reimbursement mechanisms, HTA processes, and payer landscapes across key markets (US, EU, APAC, etc.).
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent client-facing skills with a track record of building and maintaining C-level relationships.
- Ability to manage and mentor teams of consultants, ensuring top-tier project delivery and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or relevant master’s) in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
