We are supporting a London based University with the recruitment of a Human Resources Advisor.
Annual salary: £32,000-£40,000
Working hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Central London
Hybrid Working Pattern: 60% Office based/ 40% Working from home
The post holder will support the delivery of efficient, high quality, customer-focused HR services to managers and staff across Schools and Professional Services, in accordance with the University’s policies and procedures.
Job Profile:
- Provide high quality advice and guidance, and other generalist activities
- Advise on maternity/adoption/paternity cases
- Work with managers and others across HR to pro-actively manage absence
- Manage the departure process for all staff
- Advise managers on the interpretation and application of the relevant policy and procedures
- Provide support as required in investigations and hearings
- Draft ad Issue relevant documentation.
- Liaise within the team, HR colleagues and Recruiting Managers to co-ordinate recruitment plans
- Liaise with the Recruitment Administration Team to ensure activities are aligned
- Review job descriptions/role profiles and person specifications
- Provide support to the interview panels and selection procedures
- Compose job adverts and liaise with the advertising agency as required
- Work with others to ensure all pre-employment checks are carried out or requested
- Lead on and support organisational development and culture change
Person Specification:
- Level 3 qualification in Human Resource Management
- Experience of providing HR advisory services within a large complex organisation
- Practical experience of employee relations, change and performance management
- Practical experience of recruitment,
selection techniques and full employee life cycle
- Excellent communication style, with good stakeholder management skills
Associate CIPD membership Desirable
Experience of working in a unionised environment Desirable
Experience using SAP or Oracle Desirable
