This once in a lifetime programme aims to redevelop and expand our hospitals at Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come. We provide safe, compassionate and high quality hospital and community care to over half a million people living in East Sussex and those who visit our local area.

At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care. In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams.





Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries. Job overview Cookson Attenborough is a busy 28 bedded ward, which undertakes elective primarily orthopaedic, as well as surgical day cases. We are looking for 2 enthusiastic and dynamic Clinical Support Workers to join our busy team. Team is friendly and supportive with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care. This is a role where you will be offered support to develop your skills. Completion of care certificate encouraged. Main duties of the job The Clinical Support Worker is a member of the care team who will support colleagues in the delivery of routine patient care.





The Health Care Assistant will undertake a broad range of care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths Care Certificate Desirable criteria 5 GCSE grade 4 or C and above or equivalent Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, for example, Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire etc Education and training to NVQ level 3/Work based diploma or equivalent Experience Essential criteria Relevant experience of working in Health or Social Care Environment delivering personal care Desirable criteria Relevant experience working in the NHS Skills Essential criteria Ability to provide basic written reports following care giving episode/event Ability to use basic physiological recording equipment and accurately record findings Patients come first at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
