*Job Summary*
- Must be comfortable with dogs
- 3 shifts at 3-4 hours
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. The role involves supporting residents in an assisted living facility, focusing on patient care and behaviour management.
*Duties*
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care and hygiene
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Administer medication following established protocols
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support residents with dementia
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure holistic care for residents
- Drive residents to appointments or outings when necessary
*Qualifications*
- Experience in patient care, particularly in assisted living or nursing home settings
- Proficiency in medication administration and first aid
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and behaviour management techniques
- A caring and empathetic nature with a passion for helping others
- Valid driving license for transportation needs
