Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a national civil engineering contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. This role involves overseeing projects across all business units. The company is an established leader in the civil engineering industry, working on a variety of large-scale projects across the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the health and safety function across the business.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include:
Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on-site,
ensuring compliance with regulations and staying updated on key legislative changes.
Engaging with managers, clarifying responsibilities, and addressing technical health and safety queries.
Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations, consistently seeking areas for improvement, and developing health and safety performance.The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction and civil engineering industries.
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
A UK driver's licence is essential.
