Deputy Head of Lighting

Attending design meetings, meet-and-greets, read throughs, rehearsals, production meetings and debriefs as necessary during production periods.

To work closely with the Head of Lighting, Lighting Designers, Programmers and visiting companies in realising the designs for productions and other projects.

Undertaking occasional Technical Manager duties, in the form of scheduled shifts shared across all departments of core technical staff. Training will be provided for this work.

Support the Head of Lighting in overseeing the upkeep, maintenance and operational use of all lighting equipment in the venue.

Liaise with hire companies and external suppliers to ensure collections and deliveries are managed as effectively as possible.







Keep detailed documentation of any faulty hire equipment and ensure that the theatre always has working spares.

Management of large teams of casual technicians to effectively deliver the needs of a production.
