The team…
Education, Schools and Inclusion covers a wide range of areas including, but not limited to, school admissions, adult learning, governor support, school improvement, fair access arrangement and special educational needs and disabilities.
We are in the process of setting up new Well-Being and Emotional Resilience Hub as part of the SEND/Alternative Provision Change Programme. At the Hub, bespoke education packages will be delivered to individual or small groups of children and young people. The aim is to support the reintegration of these children and young people back into mainstream, with a comprehensive package of support which will ensure that this is both successful and sustainable.
About the role…
You will oversee, implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated subject curriculum for individuals and small groups of learners at KS3 and 4 and be accountable for the overall progress, development, attainment and reintegration of learners to support them to return to their home school after a short period of time (approx. 6 weeks). You will contribute to meetings, discussions and management systems necessary to coordinate the work of the Hub and integrate this into the work of the Gateshead Alternative Provision Learning Strategy.
You will also be creating weekly reports to be sent to the home schools detailing what has been covered in tuition sessions and being responsible for compiling the monthly data for financial processing.
You will be supported by 2 Specialist HTLAs and have access to a Core Team, which includes and Assistant Educational Psychologist, Health and Early Help staff.
