About Us : Tameside Children’s Social Care department is seeking passionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
Our MASH Team collaborates with various agencies to meet the needs of children in our community. We foster a supportive environment that promotes early intervention and collaboration.
Role Overview :
As a Social Worker in the MASH, you will play a crucial role in assessing risks and needs during referral screenings. Your responsibilities will include :
- Identifying and assessing risks and needs during referral screenings.
- Conducting MASH Intelligence Checks with partner agencies to recommend appropriate risk levels.
- Triangulating information from screenings and Intelligence Checks to evaluate risk and need levels.
- Preparing and presenting cases at Threshold Meetings.
- Providing advice and information to families.
- Referring families to additional services and organisations to address their identified needs.
Qualifications and Experience : We are looking for exceptional Social Workers who share our commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
The ideal candidate will have :
- A recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registration with SWE
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies.
