About us
We are looking for a friendly and personable caretaker who will be able to start in November in Peterston super Ely C / W Primary school.
The job includes opening and closing the school, maintaining the security and health and safety of all staff and pupils in the school and undertaking general maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
About the Role
Pay Details : Grade 4 SCP 5-7
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern : 10 hours p / w 52 weeks per year
Main Place of Work : Peterston super Ely Church in Wales Primary, CF56LP
Description : We require an enthusiastic and flexible person responsible for the security, care & maintenance of our school.
Duties include opening / closing premises, basic DIY and testing of fire alarms and other systems, and securing the premises and the start and end of the school day.
About you
You will need :
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- DIY and maintenance skills
- Ability to fault find and prioritise work
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
- Commitment to providing a safe environment for pupils and staff
DBS Check Required : Enhanced
EWC Registration Details : It is a statutory requirement that applicants for these posts have to be registered with the Education Workforce Council before they can start work in a school.
