After unprecedented media interest in the national launch in Spring 2017 and a fanatical social media following from fans across the UK, it is no surprise that we are a roaring success from the first store, with 77 other restaurants now part of the estate and an exciting growth agenda.

As we look ahead to a busy expansion plan across the country, we are looking for an F&B; Assistant to join the team. The role will be split across the QA, Technical, and menu functions and support our innovative menu development agenda while helping maintain the highest standards of food safety and compliance. This is a unique opportunity to work across both departments, developing new skills and contributing to our success.

Candidate Profile

- At least 1 year’s relevant experience working within food production within a technical or quality role, which can be through a placement
- Degree qualified in food science or equivalent
- Food Safety Level 2 Qualification
- Strong administrative skills
- IT proficient (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams) – ability to create documents, tables,





graphs & work in spreadsheets (including formulas)
- Qualification in Food safety or HACCP
- Previous experience of using online specification systems
- Working knowledge of Allergen Management and Labelling/Artwork
- Previous experience of using retailer specification systems
- Excellent organisational skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Uses initiative to complete tasks independently
- Proactive
- A passion for the Tim Hortons brand
- Sound communication, being confident with internal + external stakeholders

Job Responsibilities

QA & Technical (50%):

- Ensure allergen & nutrition data for finished products is kept up to date.
- Maintain information on RBI spec portal. Keep up to date with correct suppliers and ingredients.






- Liaising with suppliers to ensure technical information is completed to the correct standard.
- Proofread technical documents to critique and ensure accuracy.
- Manage complaints, maintain the log, identify and investigate the root cause for any non-conformances and complaints with suppliers and restaurants, trend analysis, send out complaints data.
- Create product/ raw material documentation in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using online systems.
- Update databases and website information
- Answer internal and external technical queries
- Support on training programs, health and safety and food safety practices

Menu (50%):

- Support the Menu Development team to deliver the Food & Beverage Strategy.






- Contribute to managing market trends data and organising team Food Safaris as required.
- Support the Menu team on LTO (limited time offer) & other food & beverage menu development – working to align to the marketing plan, and propose innovative and cost-minded products to excite our customers.
- Support the Menu team to deliver stakeholder and board-level sign-off menu presentations, completing the administrative paperwork and working from the development kitchen or store setting on the day.
- Support marketing on food photoshoots as required.
- Support meeting the critical path for these launches.
- Support the conducting of taste panels and menu trials and reporting of results.

Department administration (as required):







- Support the departments with daily administration and maintenance of all related data and working documents
- Writing procedures and preparing presentations.
- Prepare and send samples
- Arrange couriers
- Arrange lab tests
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by the business which may not be part of your day-to-day role.

Role location

- The role will be office-based in Wolverhampton, full-time (WV11 1XR)
- Candidate will be required to travel to our restaurant locations across the UK as required
