Deputy Head of Lighting at CABARET
An opportunity to be part of the backstage team on the seven Olivier award winning production of the classic musical CABARET in London’s West End, directed by Rebecca Frecknall and designed by Tom Scutt as we go into our fourth year.
Start Date: December 2024. Minimum contract length of 52 weeks.
Role: Deputy Head of Lighting
Responsibilities:
To work with the Head of Lighting to support the day to day running of the lighting department.
Operate the show using ETC Eos consoles and Zac Track Follow Spot system.
Perform stage LX track.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to all areas of the lighting system.
Prepare and update show related documentation.
Additional duties as directed by the Head of Lighting or Production Management.
Contract Type: SOLT/BECTU Agreement
Weekly Fee: BECTU Grade 2 rate plus top-up based on a 46 hour a week buyout
Experience:
Significant demonstrable experience in a related role in professional theatre. Please do NOT apply for this role if you have no experience of working in a technical capacity backstage in professional theatre.
Desirable:
Electrical wiring and inspection.
Knowledge of the Glasson Lighting system and Zac Track Follow Spot system.
ETC Eos programming.
