Business Development Manager - Universities and Research

What you will enjoy doing
- This is an exciting opportunity to join a developed Sales team with a clear vision and market growth strategy, securing new business wins across our special gases product range
- You will plan and implement strategies for prospect customers to help achieve new business targets
- With your passion, you will ensure new business pipeline and targets are achieved; all specific market opportunities are taken, and competitor opportunities are fully identified and explored
- You will actively project manage all research new build projects of diverse sizes to completion working alongside our Special Gases Account Managers, Onstream and Engineering colleagues
- This role will also give you the opportunity to support and work across relevant campaigns with our sales enablement team
- And lastly, you will develop, nurture, and maintain relationships built with prospect customers as well as collaborate with colleagues across the wider sales team and BOC
What makes you great
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to develop positive working relationships
- Good personal effectiveness skills with the self-motivation to deliver great results
- You have a high level of planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and value is added in your work
- Furthermore, you have experience and are motivated to seek and close new business opportunities
- If you have previous experience working in the wider special gases field,
or have experience dealing with large scale gas installations that would be beneficial for this role but not essential
- And lastly, this role is home based with a requirement to travel nationally when required
