£40,000 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Events Manager to support the Head of Events in all aspects of their work, and to deputise as required;

specifically, to assist in the growth and business development of the events enterprise, the promotion and marketing of the House as a venue, and the planning and preparation of events,





attending and taking overall responsibility as required for the smooth co-ordination and delivery of services to the satisfaction of the client and in accordance with the standards of Trinity House.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Promote TH to new and existing clients for their events and contribute to the development of promotional material to attract new business.
- Partake in long-term planning and develop marketability.
- In conjunction with the Head of Events, prepare and implement an enterprise growth and business development plan.
- Assist with the pricing strategy for room lettings.
- Respond to venue enquiries in a timely manner.
- Show potential and existing clients around the House, explaining its history and artefacts.
- Manage client contracts ensuring accuracy of proper documentation.
- Liaise with clients to establish their requirements using Corporation approved lists, discuss their budget, and maintain regular communication with stakeholders via phone, email or meetings.






- Manage the logistics of all suppliers on site.
- Manage the accredited supplier list, ensuring that all documentation / insurance is up to date.
- Source required support staff for events and manage as necessary to attain required standard of service.
- Assist with the preparation and turnaround of rooms for events, and welcome clients, being prepared to deal with any special requirements / assistance.
- Act as Toastmaster when required.
- Line management of the Reception Team.
- Collaboration with members of Catering, Maintenance and Administration staff during events.

The incumbent must have a high level of integrity and conduct, an awareness of and respect for the heritage and standing of the venue, outstanding communication and negotiation skills,





excellent project management and problem-solving skills, together with a robust understanding and experience of marketing and promotion.

- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Qualification in hospitality, events management or related role.
- Qualification in business
- Good financial acumen
- Computer literacy / good technical aptitude.
- Good knowledge of catering and wine.
- Knowledge of City / Livery practices and traditions.
