Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to lead the digitalising adult social care projects for South East London.

The project team is working with care providers across South East London to support with digital change projects and improve digital ways of working for adult social care.

The post will be for a 12 month fixed term contract from the start date of the post.

To support the six Boroughs across SE London as part of the NHS response to support the digitalisation of Social Care. The aim of the work is to support Care Homes and Domiciliary Care organisations to use digital tools, firstly by ensuring they are Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT)





compliant and then support them through the introduction and implementation of Digital Social Care Records (DSCR).

Main duties of the job

The role will lead and manage a team of two Senior Digital Support Officers (SDSO) that have assigned portfolios covering the six boroughs across South East London.

Working closely with the borough teams, colleagues within the South East London digital teams and with the NHS England regional teams to scope, plan and deliver the requirements of the projects as set out by NHS England.

This will include management and oversight of the programme funding provided by NHS England and all associated reporting on delivery.

The role and team sits under the ICB Primary Care Digital Service Delivery portfolio and is expected to work alongside the primary care digital transformation programme, looking for and developing opportunities for overlap and integration for improved delivery to patients and care home residents.

The role is based at the South East London ICB offices in Tooley Street,





with home working and travel across the South East London area as required.

It is expected that the postholder will attend the central offices once a week with the digital adult social care team.

The postholder must have experience of project management and working within either the adult social care or healthcare settings.

We are looking for someone who is resolution and delivery focused and has experience of working towards outcomes and objectives.

You will have experience of working with stakeholders to influence and support with change management to deliver sustainable change.

As the postholder will be managing a small team, you will need experience of managing staff as well as coaching and mentoring to support the team develop and deliver their project plans.







You will need to have the skills to use complex data sets and national guidelines to translate into useful and manageable ways for the team and stakeholders to demonstrate improvement and meet national set requirements for the programme.

An adaptable and responsive approach is essential as this is overseeing transformation projects that will need to be adapted and developed to meet the stakeholder needs within the local care homes.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

Essential

Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

- Demonstrated experience of co- ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments;
- Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence for a senior audience
- Demonstrated experience in a social care or healthcare environment
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures






- Experience of line management and developing staff

Skills and Abilities

Essential

- Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
- Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2
- Ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive and contentious information and present complex and sensitive information to large groups and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly;
- Ability to negotiate on difficult and controversial issues including performance and change.
