The purpose of the role is to provide a high-quality cleaning and catering service. The aim will be to ensure a clean safe environment and catering provision for clients, of which in-house training can be provided.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Posts involve shift working including lates, earlies, weekends, and bank holidays over a rolling rota, whereby weekend and banks holidays are paid at an enhanced rate.

Opportunities for extra hours may also be available so flexibility is required.

Please note :

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This,





together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
- Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study.

Good general education.

Knowledge of basic health & safety regulation

Experience

- Experience of moving & handling activities
- Basic cleaning skills
- Some knowledge regarding cleaning materials

- Previous experience as a porter / cleaner
- To work towards food hygiene Training

- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Flexible approach
- Good organisational skills






- Good communication skills - ability to communicate with staff on all levels
